Alfa Romeo Wins Best Supermini Award

Alfa Romeo Wins Best Supermini Award

Alfa Romeo have always been known for their beautifully crafted cars, the used Alfa Romeo 147 in London still stands out in the city traffic and gets people turning their heads. One thing Alfa Romeo is not so proud of is their reputation for reliability, however recently they have become a lot better.

Highlighting Alfa Romeo's improvements is the What Car? Award for “Best Supermini 2010” gained by its MiTo, this is a hard earned award, as it is not motoring journalists who decide this but actual customers and readers.

The MiTo is a small, sporty and beautiful looking car, What Car? readers gave it 4.6 stars out of a possible 5, not only that but it also came third in the “Best Car 2010” category. In the Best Manufacturer category Alfa Romeo came an impressive fourth out of 30 manufacturers, with an average star reader rating of 4.3 out of five.
Joining the MiTo on the podium were 2 other models from the Fiat Group, the Fiat 500 came in second place and the Fiat Panda came in at third, giving Fiat the bragging rights in the supermini segment.

Alfa Romeo UK, Brand Communications Manager, Damien Dally commented, "For us to receive this award thanks to the excellent feedback What Car? has received about the MiTo from its readers, is fantastic. It truly affirms MiTo's place as a strong, viable and credible option for people looking for a sporty yet practical compact car.”
The Alfa Romeo MiTo was launched in the UK in 2009, it introduced a new era of Supermini models, raising the bar significantly. The MiTo comes with the latest Alfa Romeo technology including Alfa Romeo's dynamic control system and award winning MultiAir engine technology; a five star Euro NCAP safety rating.
